Summary
Dazai’s bouquet has pink carnations, alstroemeria, and a rose as the centerpiece. Smaller flowers decorated it as well, all so wonderfully intentional. It created such beauty that Dazai knew he could never mimic, it spoke so many words that would get caught in his throat. The thorns digging at his skin inside, always so present but always so far away.
It was tiring, really.

He’d recognize him anywhere, even with his face covered in blood and filth and that dark hair tousled beyond belief. He blinked at the brightness, shying away.
His clothes already fit like rags, but they were torn asunder. Only the filthy bandages, usually a pristine white now smudged with dark kept his shivering body covered. He could see the dark bruises on his wrists where someone must have pinned him down. His eyes flickered to his chest, which was still tightly bound. How Dazai'd managed that he'd never know.
Dazai gave a couple of sniffs and Chuuya couldn’t process. Couldn’t think. When his voice, cracked and destroyed, filled the room he felt like the spell that had him frozen finally lifted.
“Chuuya?”
