Summary
As Jake follows Ruri through the curved, mazelike corridors of the Silver Castle compound, he catches a glimpse of the old team photograph, taken shortly after they’d acquired their eleventh member. With some difficulty, Jake keeps his eyes from focusing on Kiai Ryuuken’s gentle smile, instead staring at himself: his white-and-lavender paint job, the sharpness of his gaze.
Now, Jake wears the colors of a Leaguer who’s changed his occupation to that of construction and demolition. The day-glo yellow and orange suits him, he thinks: like the warning patterns on a venomous reptile, he can be seen from a mile away.
-
Post-OVA: the UN tower built beside Silver Castle HQ is set to be torn down, and as luck would have it, Jake is part of the demolition crew contracted for the job. For the duration of the project, Ruri offers him the use of Silver Castle’s facilities. This could be either a very bad or very good idea.

Summary
Windy’s grin widens. Magnum Ace stares. “Saw you watching, Magnum. How about you join us on the field for a two-on-one?”
Magnum’s Leaguer coding immediately identifies the request for a match, and almost simultaneously his Super AI catches up, picking apart the words and isolating the possible, probable second meaning. “Windy —”
Windy turns his back to Magnum, throws an unsubtle wink over his shoulder. “I want to take you and Foot on at the same time. Think the two of you can score?”
-
[Set near the end of Episode 25]
Magnum Ace plays soccer with Windy and Gold Foot. Their teamwork really shines through.

Summary
Gunmax’s mouth twists into a smirk. With his visor, it’s difficult to tell if it’s genuine, but the backward slant of his antenna is a likely hint to how he truly feels. “What can I say? I owe a lot to that bastard.”
“He trained you,” Deckerd says, a tentative half-question, optics fixed on the mech seated beside him.
“Sure,” Gunmax replies, his smirk widening into something more sincere, and at last he shifts his attention from the stars overhead to Deckerd. “If that’s what you wanna call it.”
-
[Set shortly after Episode 21]
Deckerd has a question for Gunmax. Gunmax has an answer. They both bite off a little more than they can chew, in different ways.

Summary
Ever since returning to Earth, things have been quiet, and as a result, Sideswipe hasn’t found himself in a stupidly perilous situation requiring Drift’s assistance. He wishes something dumb (and not scary or painful) would happen, just so he can get bailed out yet again. Sexily, of course. That part’s important. All the same, he doesn’t want Drift to stick it in him simply because it’s the sole ridiculous solution to an equally-ridiculous problem.
Sideswipe doesn’t want to be an excuse.
But the weeks pass by, and Drift hasn’t approached him, and it takes far longer than Sideswipe would like to admit to realize that if he wants to be screwed, it’s entirely on him to initiate it.
Which, frag.
-
Or: Sideswipe would like to be fucked, thank you very much. He gets what he wants.

Summary
GZ saw in Magnum Ace what it truly meant to be a great commander.
GZ could also still practically taste the oil that had scented the air when, in his effort to snap GZ out of his vampiric viral haze, Magnum Ace had parted his chest and offered himself. Magnum had gotten through to him, in just enough time for their allies to shoot him with a cure.
Home from that adventure, alone in the secluded back rooms of their practice complex, Magnum Ace is once more a great commander, helping GZ work through it all.
