satoru lifts suguru in his arms to bring him to the bed.
he is light, thin. now that his torn uniform is off and he’s wearing one of satoru’s old shirts, satoru can feel how weak he has become. it’s not just the loss of muscle; his face is worn and his cheeks have hollowed slightly. there is a bruise forming on his face to match the other ones littered over his body, and there is a split at the corner of his mouth.
"someone who got beat up by a curse is calling me an idiot? look, you even busted your lip.”
he presses his finger to the cut and suguru hisses out in pain. he swats at satoru’s hand, but satoru is relentless. he has the urge to keep pushing, to see how much suguru can take before he is crumbling into pieces. before the glass shudders and, finally, breaks.
(satoru is young and not a god.
