Summary
Lena is a Fortune 500 CEO focused on making her company a force for good. Kara is an up and coming soccer star preparing for the World Cup. “Okay. What’s your name?”
Lena’s response is knee-jerk. “None of your damn business.”
Supergirl runs her fingers through her hair. It sticks up wildly near her temple, and Lena can see a slight cowlick. It’s strangely humanizing. “Look, my boss isn’t going to like that I’m working with an unknown as it is. If we’re going to work together, I at least need something to call you.”
When Lena shakes Supergirl’s hand, she feels the warmth of victory when the hero seems shocked at the firmness of her grip. But alarmingly an even stronger warmth radiates from their joined palms, spreading up her arm; Lena pulls her hand back faster than what’s generally considered polite, curling it into a fist.
“You can call me Kieran.”

"But you don't have a hickey," Kara points out, and Lena just smiles. Like it's a silly thing to say, like there's something Kara's not getting that should be painfully obvious. Then she tilts her head and drops her eyes to Kara's lips, and suddenly it is painfully obvious. "Lena, what, I can't—"
"Kara," Lena frowns. "It's like six seconds of licking my neck, it's not the end of the world."
'But i'm a vampire', Kara wants to say out loud, except that gives them a bad reputation. Really, she should say, 'but i'm in love with you. i've loved you all along and Jesus christ this is pushing me over the edge', but she can't get those words to formulate for some reason, so she goes with, "I just don’t think it's the best idea."
