Summary
After the latest in a series of funding cuts, Anders is faced with the possibility that the free clinic he's dedicated the last three years of his life to running may have to close. Knowing how many people depend on it, including himself, he'll do anything to keep that from happening.
Which is where Hawke comes in. He has the money to help Anders with his problem and all he wants in exchange is Anders' company. Anders just can't for the life of him figure out why.

“That's all of them,” Anders confirmed for Hawke. Then his gaze was drawn to the wound, still bleeding on Hawke's arm.
The pull of it hadn't lessened any. It was hard to think, hard to recall how long it had been since he last fed. All he knew was that it had been too long. He knew that had seemed necessary for some reason but it was difficult to think why now that the thirst was creeping up on him stronger than it had ever been.
