Summary
This new city was surrounded by a towering stone wall broken only by a huge arch way. Beyond it, a road snaked through grassy fields and hills, and rising in the near distance was the watch tower the stranger had mentioned.
“See?” the girl pointed, “That’ll be the perfect hiding spot.”
“Thanks,” Six mumbled.
The girl beamed at her. “By the way, um what’s your name?”
“… Six.”
“Oh! Cool! I’m Poppy.”
Six gave Mono one last adjustment. “Bye, Poppy.”
“Bye-bye Six!” Poppy waved with frantic enthusiasm that Six couldn’t understand, “I’ll see you later!”
She very much doubted that.When Six remembers Mono after reuniting both halves of her consciousness she stages a rescue that leads both her and Mono into a strange new world without monsters. Or, more accurately, the monsters in this world are friendly.

A little whimper made it past her lips. "Very um, but like, shouldn't we wait for Tulip?"
"Oh, I'm enjoying the view," came Tulip's voice, low and sultry as she strode into their space. She caressed Dendra's cheek, dipping to kiss her, then Miriam, firmly, "You can keep playing with each other while I grab the strap."
Dendra let out a noise at that, clenching around nothing at just the mention of it.
"It'll have to be quick, I've still got a party going on," Tulip warned.
"Totally get it," Miriam reassured with a kiss to Tulip's cheek.Dendra's been aching for her girlfriends' undivided attention for the entire party, but really, what was she expecting when they suggested she dress up as a cat to match them?

Six wrapped the plaid blanket around her shoulders and adjusted it until she was properly able to hold her tea while still being covered. She closed her eyes, tilting her chin up to let the sun hit her face. How often did the sunshine here? Was this warmth a rarity?
“This place is out of the way,” Nore said, stretching out her legs and leaning back. “I live here alone. You could stay in my spare room until you’ve got your powers under control.”
Six blinked her eyes open and frowned.
“I could hurt you,” she said, slowly.
“I’m hard to kill.” Nore went to take a sip of her tea but frowned when she realized her mug was empty.
Six considered her options. She could stay here – it was nice, Nore seemed nice, but it was unfamiliar. She could stay in her and Echo’s houseboat, but it would be strange without Echo there. And what if Echo wanted to stay in the houseboat? What then?There is a place, somewhere in the ocean, where nightmares cannot be found. There is a place that's safe. Six, Mono, Echo, and Nosebleed will find it. Or maybe it will find them. After all, nothing lasts forever. Not even nightmares.
