Summary
Buck had long since learned to be wary of people who drank so much that they could drown in it, the ghost of his father’s blows ringing clear in his mind as he watched the drunken brawls in the pubs. It was a lesson that he learned the hard way and one that he intended to follow.
However those rules that he had stoically set himself seem not to apply to the man wobbling on ahead of him, unstable as a doe mumbling incoherently to himself a lilting tune that sounded suspiciously like the song that had been playing in the last bar they were at.
