Summary
Following a devastating Quizbot attack, Grian and Cleo are both left aimless. In the depths of her despair, Cleo is approached by a magical snail, promising her power beyond her wildest dreams and the chance to win a Wish in exchange for playing the very same dangerous game that had gotten them into this mess in the first place. Accepting grants her something even more unexpected: two lippy zombies bearing the faces of the magical girls that had died to protect her in the attack.
Grian, grieving his two best friends and teammates, is left searching for his place in both the world and the game—up until he meets the new magical girl on the block, whose powers have brought Mumbo and Skizz back from the dead. This presents an enticing opportunity: maybe he doesn’t have to find something new.
Maybe he can just go right back to the way things were.
