Their long silver hair is always pleated back in a long, complicated braid, like the old Terran stories of elves and faeries. Laced with metal and pearls. The one in front of him smiles at him. Showing teeth.
It nods to the shallow chalice it's holding. A silent invite, by now familiar to Spock. Drink, stranger, and talk to me.
Spock nods in return, curt and courteous, as he has learned. He takes the chalice from the stranger's hand. The metal is cold, cold to the touch...
The lights above seem to burn like bonfires out of the corner of his eye...
