    After swallowing a particularly nasty curse, Geto Suguru begins to have horrible nightmares centered around his best friend, object of all his desire, and bane of his existence— Gojo Satoru. In the beginning of every dream, he’s within inches of getting what he’s always longed for, but by the end of it, Satoru is dead, and he wakes up in a cold sweat and a knot in his throat.

    The nightmares quickly devolve into sleepwalking, and each time he wanders off into the darkness, he wakes up further and further from his bed, in strange situations. Sometimes he’s out on the field in his pajamas, drawing pictures in the dirt with his hands. Sometimes he’s hanging upside down, one of his curses holding him by the ankles. Sometimes he’s in Satoru’s bed, arms wrapped tightly around him.

    Things get stranger, and as time goes on, Suguru realizes that the dreams are not merely dreams— they’re premonitions. Every night, he sees a little slice of the future, and the future is bleak.

    Someone— he’s not sure who— will end up dead.
