Summary
Alhaitham's grandmother's only one wish for him was to lead a peaceful life. She'd often whisper that in his ear as she hugged him to her bosom, the scent of musk and oud clinging to her being and digging into his core, her flower-patterned Selham soft under his skin. she'd lull him to sleep with those words on her lips as he dozed off during his reading sessions, gentle with hope and anticipation.
The way Alhaitham understood it, the "peace" in question signifies the least troublesome life he could possibly attain.
Clearly, however, fate is very much not on his side.
Or, Alhaitham tries to figure out where his peace lies with the help of two peculiar individuals his path crosses.

Summary
