Elias was once again silent for a while and Jon slumped in his seat, ready for his request to be denied. How unexpected. Instead, Elias sat down in the visitor's chair, casual and comfortable. The way he used to back when he still visited Jon’s office, in the early days.
“Ask me,” Elias said, leaving Jon speechless. For the first time this whole evening, he looked away from Jon. Eyes trained on the bookshelves behind Jon he repeated: “Ask me, Jon.”
