Summary
Kaveh hadn't even had the chance to make a sound before he was met face to face with the ground. Kaveh could only stare at the rust colored dirt and sand in his face. He couldn't hear Alhaitham rushing to his side. He couldn't feel when his back was relieved of the immense pressure of stone. He couldn't understand when Alhaitham spoke to him, right in front of his face. All he knew was that this was bad. Really bad.
Kaveh finds himself injured in Bimarstan after an unlucky trip to some ruins with Alhaitham. Proceeding the stressful event, both Alhaitham and Kaveh discuss something long awaited.

Summary
With the his final semester of college coming to a head, Kaveh pounds away at his keyboard, determined to finish his final essay. After this he could relax in his shared apartment with a brand new shiny degree. What Kaveh doesn't know is that the relaxation he seeks is farther than he anticipates.
Something wicked and violent creeps its way into Alhaitham's day, therefore into Kaveh's as well. In the face of deathly chaos, unspoken feelings are revealed.

Summary
Kaveh begins to doubt his relationships. Do they really want him around? Are they taking pity on his poor soul? Is he just too much?
One night at the tavern, surrounded by his friends playing TCG, he is hit with a wave of uncertainty. He feels out of place, an observer to the world around him. He becomes dizzy with the thought that maybe they would be happier if he showed himself less and less, maybe even at all. Would they even notice? Maybe it would relieve them.
Alhaitham would notice. He always notices. When Kaveh attempts to run away, Alhaitham is there.

Summary
Leaving a ruin trip in the desert, Alhaitham and Kaveh find themselves a bit too tired to return home in one trip. They decide to rest for a night and proceed in the morning. When both men refuse to be the first one to sleep, they decide to stargaze together. When a sudden and brief wave of somber washes over Kaveh, the two share a soft and intimate moment together.

Summary
Al-Haitham expels a low groan. “Sorry,” he says, blinking wetly against the light from the window.
Kaveh is half joking when he lifts his hand to Al-Haitham’s forehead and says, “Al-Haitham, did you just apologize to me? Do you have a fever?”
Kaveh expects a snarky remark, but it doesn’t come. It isn’t before he presses his palm gently against sweat-damp skin—jokingly, still—and it feels like plunging his fingers into an open fire that Kaveh realizes he hit the nail right on the head.
“Oh. You do have a fever,” he breathes, brushing Al-Haitham’s sweaty bangs out of his face. “You’re sick.”
“What an astute observation,” Al-Haitham says.
Al-Haitham develops a fever, and with it a peculiar side effect. Kaveh reaps the unexpected benefits.

Summary
When Kaveh receives an invitation to teach a course at the Fontaine Research Institute for an event, Kaveh feels obligated to pay a visit to his step family as well. As exciting as it is to finally be around family again, there's just one problem: he barely knows them, and he's not sure if they even want to get to know him.

Summary
Al-Haitham hums, sitting back in his seat. His eyes get that look they always do when he's thinking– at least that had stayed the same– before he put his hands in his pockets.
“You can stay with me, if you'd like,” he says all too casually as he pulls a hand back out his pocket. “For the time being,” he adds on a little too quickly, “until you manage to get yourself out of the mess you’ve made.”
Kaveh was about to open his mouth to protest. Like he'd ever take an offer from him, especially with that attitude.
But then Al-Haitham slides a key across the table to him–golden, with emerald embellishments, a carbon copy of the soulmark on Kaveh's arm– and the words on his lips dissipate into the warm tavern air.

Summary
After an accident at work, Kaveh sort of dies. But he is granted a chance to come back to life if he can get three people to shed tears of pure love for him. He thinks that would be easy, since he has so many friends, but soon realises that it's not as easy as he thought it would be.
Meanwhile, a grieving Alhaitham is very confused by this new stranger in Sumeru City who acts so much like Kaveh, but is not Kaveh.
“Well, I promise you, Kaveh will be very okay with it. I’m sure of it.”
“If I’m not convinced, will you be suddenly bringing me a letter allegedly written by Kaveh that expresses his agreement?” Alhaitham asked with a raised eyebrow.
“That letter was written by Kaveh. One hundred percent. I don’t know why you keep doubting me,” Kaveh insisted.
Alhaitham hummed to himself. “Just wanted to see how you’d react.”Series
