Todoroki swears internally for not biting his tongue in time. Once the childish nickname slips out of his mouth, it’s already too late. Katsuki is looking at him as if he’s trying to murder him with his stare alone, and Kirishima is visibly confused.
“Kacchan?” he chuckles softly and nudges his boyfriend in the ribs. “I should start calling you that, babe.”
“I’ll fucking kill you if you do this,” Katsuki barks, and that’s when Shouto, who up until this moment has been trying to convince himself that he’s hallucinating, knows for sure that he isn’t dreaming.

Summary
Jotaro and his grandfather aren't too much alike. His grandfather was loud and gregarious in his youth, Jotaro is silent. Joseph hopped from town to town causing trouble, Jotaro stays put and to himself. Joseph is a Joestar, Jotaro is a Kujo.
His grandfather always had a partner in crime, someone to ride with, someone to pause with. Jotaro is alone.
Jotaro doesn't find it easy to understand his grandfather, and it doesn't help that being a Joestar is more than just a name, it's a shadow and it's also apparently the fastest way to get a price put on your head. He learns this quickly when an assassin and sharpshooter with red hair basically falls into his lap- after very courteously trying to kill him.
With Dio Brando asking for the Joestar lineage dead, at seemingly any price, being a Joestar for Jotaro now has a lot less to do with his identity, and more to do with not getting shot on sight.
Lucky for him, he gains an accomplice a lot sooner than expected.
