  1. Summary

This is my *personal* One True Pairing canon timeline series for Robert Plant/ Jimmy Page. It's a story set as far as I am able right up against reality so dates, people, places, are as fully researched as possible. Partners, children, crew, are all present and Jimmy and Robert's story is about falling in love in the midst of other loves and other events - a love broken and repaired many times. I'm writing chronologically* starting with 'Push Push' in May 1969 and I plan to write through to Page/Plant times. Though each story can be read in its own right they make more sense as a larger work and refer to each other.
This is fiction as real as I can make it.

*ok my chronology with shorter works is out the window of a limo in the motorcade; it's up a tree with a squirrel in Wales; it's under a rock in north Africa. I'm just going with it. (October 2020)

  3. Summary

"And now the carnival is over
    Someone turn out the light.
Our fields of plenty filled with clover
So long ago and out of sight.

This little light that keeps on shining
All through the darkness, through the night,
That ever more will keep reminding
Our journey is long, our flame is bright.

And if there's one more time I can dance with you
Let me dance with you tonight
It's the last chance our hearts will dance
    Into the lovers' night.

Out in the land of never ending
The rich parade, the roar of life.
We shared a world forever changing
Through dancing days and wondrous nights.

I offered up the secret places
Revealed the magic of the land
All bound by blood and lipstick traces
Till time conspired to steal our crown."

(Robert Plant, "Dance with you tonight", Carry Fire, 2017.)

This is the song that started all of this. The Copernican Turn. The Wait A Fucking Second moment.

I found a thread, I started pulling, and everything else just fell into place.

  5. Summary

These Page/Plant/Jones triad stories are set canon universe with the edges a bit fuzzy and blended. I guess they are set summer of '69 when Robert is Jimmy's puppy and not really sure of himself or who he is. They are set in the Decca Days style invented by bonzobreakbeat (heart of the sunrise on AO3) where Jimmy and Jonesy have been lovers as session musicians.

    Summary

This series gives the original, often more explicit, versions of some of the Tris/Alex stories that Nancy Arena and Pam Rose rewrote into the novel, For All the Gods Departed. These were circulated during the late 1980s as paper manuscripts, among fans of Nancy and Pam's work who enjoyed their take on Led Zepplin as Paradox. (This was concurrent with the better-known "circuit" of Professionals manuscript stories, to which Pam Rose also contributed.)

The Tris/Alex stories may have been written at first as stand-alones, but it's evident early in the series that they are segments of a larger narrative about Tris and Alex and the band Paradox. FATGD includes much of this material as background within its extension of Paradox's storyline that starts after the events covered by the story series.

    Summary

The year is 1969, and Led Zeppelin are well on their way to becoming the biggest rock band in the world. But something is holding them back from reaching their fullest potential—something that a pair of Los Angeles DJs with a local college station pick up on, and take upon themselves to put right. The solution: an artfully-schemed house party following Zeppelin’s show at the Whisky a Go Go, at which strings are pulled, hearts are broken, salamis are thrown, and, well…
