Summary
It only took him a year to get fast enough to outrun anyone else at his school, but being snuck up on negates speed. So the next google search he did was on stealth and heightening his awareness. This led to a lot of meditating, learning different methods for analyzing one's surroundings, heightening his senses, studying people, basically relearning how to walk so his footfalls were silent, then getting beat up when testing the progression for each.

They were discussing their career interest forms today, but that was it. Nothing time-critical was supposed to be happening.
“Midoriya, you were reported missing a week ago. No one has seen you for eight days. The police have been combing the city for you.”
"I’m sorry. What?”
Midoriya Izuku went missing for a week and turned up in a back alleyway with skills he's never even heard of and no memory of how he came by them. He resigns himself to never learning the truth of what happened to him, but he shouldn't waste this chance should he? He could become a hero with reflexes like these.
