Naruto almost (keyword: almost) felt bad for attempting to crush the hopeful look in his younger self's eyes. However, some things are just meant to be done.
"Do you know what's common between all of them?" He waved a hand towards the Hokage Rock for emphasis, his younger self visibly perking up in eagerness. In a solemn tone, he explained.
"They're all dead."
