Ever since he was a small child, Sherlock has always heard about the concept of “soulmates”, people that were fated to meet each other and spend their days together. He’d heard soulmates met in different manners, be it by following a red thread of fate, or marks on their skin that matched the other person’s.
But Sherlock had something else he’d never heard of from the books he’d often read or from the adults he overheard talking about these things. He had this person he’d sometimes dream of. Ever since he turned ten, he’d often encounter a blonde boy that had deep ruby-coloured eyes and a kind smile.
