You remember being cocooned in warm arms, and gin-laced, pitying banalities in playing in your ears as she would cup your small, frozen hands in her own. You try not to pity your younger self for letting such a transparent performance take you in. You try not to pity your present self for still treasuring the memory.
What do you do when you have a genetically-coded predisposition for a behavior that runs completely counter to your equally genetically-coded need to be an aloof motherfucker? Obviously talking to your one living relative is out of the question.

It seems like it'll be a pretty simple task to get everyone to god tier even though they're stuck on a meteor, right? Three quest beds can't be all that hard to figure out how to make. Alchemy is pretty fun and easy anyways (and other misconceptions about the fundamental nature of reality within a game).

Summary
An AU of “The Most Toys.”
Kivas Fajo has had Data in his collection for months now. Securing his cooperation had been ridiculously easy. All Fajo had to do was threaten to kill a few of his minions in front of him. Now Data sits neatly in his chair and entertains Fajo to the best of his ability.
But such a successful trader is so easily bored.
Fajo begins using the tiniest excuses to kill in front of Data. When that ceases to amuse him, Fajo begins simulating false rescues by the Enterprise, relishing every reaction it causes in his newest “toy.” With no other bargaining chips, Data threatens to damage himself if Fajo kills someone without provocation or simulates his crew again.
Unable to trust his own senses, how will Data react when his family finally comes to save him?

After Geordi is taken aboard a Romulan vessel for two weeks, he is returned shaken, covered in scars, and without his VISOR. In intermittent visits to Counselor Troi, Data explains the struggles he has in helping his best friend through his recent trauma, and as the two get closer, he begins to wonder if his reasons for helping him are more emotional than he first thought.
