I really wish I could do tumblr tags from my phone, those do not summarise the absolute mess that shinyduo is/ will be in this fanfic.This is an introduction, I got distracted with other things and will only update when I have something good to add.
“Brings back memories, huh?” gasps Pearl, head leant against the ground, and for a second she imagines that the Gem in front of her is the same as the one last year, that she’ll laugh, and smile at Pearl the way she always did, reach over and tuck her hair behind her ear.
This Gem scowls, and pushes Pearl away before getting up. This Gem walks further on, leaving Pearl on the ground, and not checking to see if she follows.
Of course Pearl follows anyway.

Scott was a supernova, burning out to nothing, and there was light in his hands and burning tracks down his cheeks but Jimmy stayed stubbornly dead, and he sobbed, curling shaking fingers into his jacket and pressing his forehead to his heart, and he couldn’t breathe right anymore, divinity scorching his lungs and his throat as he reached and reached and reached to no avail.
This world was not his and its stars did not favor him, this was not a world where he got to choose, this was not a world where Jimmy would open his eyes again, laugh and hold his hand again, shine in the light again.
He was gone, and there was nothing he could do.
Or: Scott, the god of MCC, loses his husband.
Unfortunately, he is only the god of MCC.
