“sorry?” he asks, a little out of breath, even though he heard him almost perfectly the first time.
“you’re not eating,” taehyun repeats, taps his foot once, twice.
yeonjun’s hand shakes as he reaches for an apple in the bowl next to him. “of course i am.” he bites into it as if to prove his point. it crumbles in his mouth like ash.
taehyun takes a step towards him, wary. guilt sores up in him like a lion hunting its prey. “when was the last time,” another step. “you ate an actual meal?”
and; truthfully, yeonjun doesn’t remember.

Summary
Soobin walks in circles. Metaphorically more than literally, but he wishes Yeonjun would follow him. Wear the floor down all the way into hell, because he knows they both belong there.
Soobin doesn’t mind it all that much. Yeonjun would follow his trail. He knows that Yeonjun wouldn’t quite want that. He wonders if Yeonjun would follow him anyway.
“What is it that you regret?” Soobin mumbles. Yeonjun looks at him from the corner of his eye. Sighs. Looks ahead again.
“I’m sorry,” Yeonjun whispers back, like he can’t find it in himself to say it louder.
Yeonjun has his own regrets, too, you know. Watching Soobin suffer, or making him suffer. Maybe Yeonjun regrets it all. Maybe Yeonjun regrets nothing at all.
Still, it’s enough of an answer for Soobin.
