Doctor Ivo Robotnik was dead. Dead or gone. Hidden somewhere on the planet, waiting for Stone to find him– or a name in the news, the papers, floated among his former Twitch followers, a presence the government couldn’t wipe away if they tried (and believe him, they tried).
Wherever Doctor Ivo Robotnik was, it was not right in front of him. It couldn’t be.
He couldn’t be here. Stone saw the explosion. Even with the denial, the anger, the grief Stone had been experiencing for the past several months, he knew that the Doctor standing here, unharmed and smiling in a large lab of his own creation, was impossible.

Doctor Robtonik has to travel through the multiverse to reach his universe, and more importantly - his Agent Stone. After surviving the Eclipse Canon explosion, with the help of Chaos Energy, he finds himself in many alternate realities and meets many different versions of Stone
It is strange, to meet countless people who truly care about you, only for them to be the same person every time. Robotnik has one question constantly on his mind during his travel - Why does he still keep falling for Stone all over again in every universe?
