Having spent years as an editor, it occurred to me that I had never actually sat down to write anything of novel length. So this is an exercise for me, and hopefully for you, dear reader, it will be amusing to read.

My influences include John Updike, Joyce Carol Oates, Jorge Luis Borges, Umberto Eco, Franz Kafka, Faith Erin Hicks, and Neel Krishnaswami. I enjoy writing about beauty, especially finding beauty in tough circumstances. I believe that all writers should pursue skill, no matter where they are at the moment.

I have a lot of experience in short fiction and editing, but far less experience in long fiction. That's what I'm hoping to improve upon, and constructive criticism there would be greatly appreciated. Naturally, if you don't have criticism and just want to say you liked something, I enjoy those comments as well!
