Daniel panics for a second but also… hot. “What? What is it?”
“Your eyes,” Armand says, pulling Daniel’s face so close that their noses bump together. “Why, never in my half-millennium…”
“What?!”
“They changed! They just… changed! They… they look like mine.”

Daniel will never tire of looking at him. The water sliding over his skin, the steam causing his curls to become even more unruly. Armand grabs a washcloth and a sweet-smelling soap. He holds onto Daniel’s shoulder with one hand and—with the utmost reverence—uses the other to lather warm, soapy circles over his body.
The gremlin seems to have been replaced by the good nurse.
