Resigned to not being understood, Jack sighs heavily. “Nevermind. I’m just tired and getting a little hysterical. It’s going to be an adjustment, but we can handle it. We will handle it,” he amends, shaking his head.
“You still think Itty Bitty needs more,” Tater says finally, eyes narrowing. “You think he find boyfriend that less trouble? Less anxious? Less broken? Less work? You afraid he leave you?”
“I—” Jack starts to protest but chokes on the words.
“Everyone take work, Jack,” Tater says, laying a hand on his shoulder and then ducking his head until Jack looks at him. “No one perfect boyfriend, perfect husband all the time. Eric know this. He love you anyway.”
Jack and Bitty love, laugh, struggle, and survive together during the most joyous and most difficult days of their lives.

Biting his lip, he reaches underneath the pillow by his left knee for the bottle of lube he hid there earlier. He slowly pops the cap and carefully squeezes out a decent dollop of the stuff. Lube is your friend until your knee slips in it while you've got a teen-incher inside your bum, after which it's more of a health hazard. Not that Jaskier's ever, well. Never mind all that. Point is, he's much more fastidious when it comes to how much lube goes where these days.

The blackened, coiling words on his arm glare at him almost accusingly, he feels immense guilt at the poor soul that fate, that ever cruel mistress, has chosen to be bound to him. As if anyone could ever stomach being eternally bound to a filthy witcher of all things. Geralt thinks of the disgusted and angry faces of the people from Blaviken, how their stones and harsh words had cut into him.

“Oh you b-” Jaskier naked hand is clamping down on Geralt's mouth before he can say anything else and it requires all the strength he now has to keep the witcher from squirming out of his grasp. The witch looks more amused by the second and every inch of her smile seems to make Geralt want to gauge her eyes out with spoons.
“Care to explain?”
“It will pass, less than a full month. How awful can it be?” Jaskier knows he isn't imagining her sneer then.
“Are you serious?” Geralt twitches his mouth out from under the pale hands and spats the question in a high pitched voice that makes the bard cringe on how much it would hurt in the morning."
