Summary
**On Hiatus, deployed overseas!**
After getting tangled in the web of tapes and timelines at the end of the world, Jon was sent back to where it all started; A familiar promotion to Head Archivist, and another chance to get things right.
He failed the first time. And the second, and third, and fourth, and so many other attempts to get things "right" he tries to hide from Elias by keeping any ties to Fear buried underneath a personality and consciousness that has no idea he's present.
Jon's past self doesn't know what he's in for- or what he's capable of with a monster lurking under his skin, while his future self is used to death sending him back for another attempt.
Neither are going to have a good time, but the rest of the Archives team certainly will once Jon stops keeping them out of the loop- especially since this one isn't rewinding.

"Elias was gazing at him with the same amused, fond look he’d had every time Jon had sneaked into his office this week. It made Jon a little bit warm, the same sort of warmth he felt when Martin downstairs offered his hand to hold (even though Jon refused, because he was ten, he didn’t need anyone holding his hand to go anywhere, adults were just idiots, sometimes). It also made him bold: contrary to any of the adults he’d met since he woke up at the institute (or ever, in his life, really), Elias never tried to make him stop asking questions."
(A very small birthday gift for Fav! In which a Leitner deaged Jon in the middle of S3, and Elias is certainly the one that minds that the least.)
