Summary
If Daichi were to describe rural Aomori diplomatically, he might mention the meditative calm of the quiet coastline or the relaxing pace of life in the country. If Daichi were to describe rural Aomori honestly, however, he would be compelled to admit that staying out here in the middle of nowhere with his cranky aunt has him out of his mind with boredom. Between refereeing borderline-fratricidal altercations amongst his equally bored siblings and listening to his aunt bicker incessantly with her geriatric neighbour over hydrangea pruning, Daichi is ready to rule this the Most Tedious Summer Break of All Time.
And then he meets the neighbour's grandson. Who happens to be the ex-captain of a certain rival Tokyo team. The same ex-captain that Daichi has been thinking about incessantly since he graduated high school. And suddenly Daichi's summer break gets a lot more interesting.

("Your waist is so tiny," Kiyoomi had marvelled, wrapping his fingers around it, encircling his waist completely. Osamu had almost lost his fucking mind, feeling Kiyoomi's hands tight around him, pressing in on him, the pads of his fingers searing into his skin.
"But your shoulders are—it's unreasonable," Kiyoomi had informed him, but his hands had run all up and down his back, over his shoulders, almost like he was trying to map them into his muscle memory, and his eyes had been darker than Osamu had ever seen them and it was just—so fucking hot. It wasn't fair.
And then Kiyoomi had leaned forward to steal a page out of Osamu's book and sink his teeth into Osamu's shoulder, and all of Osamu's thoughts got lost to the gasp that Kiyoomi's bite drew out of him.)
kiyoomi has to borrow osamu's shirt, and osamu is Really Into It. or: miya osamu is horny, and maybe in love. fuck.

Summary
He gathers his courage with a breath, lets his eyes trail the stardust Bokuto leaves in his wake. The older man hasn’t seen him yet. He won’t. It isn’t time. But that doesn’t stop Keiji from watching Bokuto rise into the air, back arched, hand outstretched towards the heavens. He is still celestial. It relieves Keiji, almost, to know that time has not stolen that, too. So much has already been lost. Bokuto lands with triumph, and Keiji slips away. He is no longer privy to these moments of celebration. He’s risked enough already.

In high school, Akaashi and Bokuto fell apart. Now, in adulthood, Akaashi wants to try to put them back together.
