Summary

Shen Qingqiu stood in the middle of the hall, gaze turned to look out the large doors to the side into the sweep of forest and fog covered mountains. His hair was down, falling almost to his calves and his robe was thin, barely more than a sleeping robe. Liu Qingge paused. He'd never seen Shen Qingqiu in less than three layers. Since Shen Qingqiu's qi deviation, he'd stopped dressing so fastidiously, no longer favoring high collars and sleeves that reached down to his fingers, but he still never walked around like this.
There was something else strange, too. Something in the set of his shoulders, or the tilt of his head, like he'd walked a long way to get here and still could not rest. His gaze was distant. Not cold like Liu Qingge had suspected, but flat. There was no derision or joy there. There was nothing at all.

Liu Qingge starts having strangely vivid dreams of the past. The only commonality between them is Shen Qingqiu. But why is he acting like he did before his qi deviation?

“Don’t ask me to say I don’t love you when it’s all I can feel for you.” He hears the War God utter these words in echo of the past, reminding him that his love for Shen Jiu transcended in both lifetimes and timelines. “Are you an idiot? Yes, you are. But are you also brilliant in your uncouth ways? Of course, you are. You are such a frustrating person at times, but I feel alive and complete when you’re here. There’s no one else that could make me feel like this except you, Shen Jiu.”
Now that they've both caught up with each other in time, there was only one thing left to do: to continue fighting for each other as the days slip closer to the day the first Luo Binghe had promised to do a fortnight from that encounter - To reign hell in this peaceful, hard-earned timeline.
