"You're being an asshole," Kenta snapped, though his voice cracked at the end. "You know I didn't mean it! I was tired and upset and I lashed out. Why can't you just-talk to me?"
Kim stopped at the doorway. Turned slightly-just enough for Kenta to see the side of his face.
"You're right," Kim said quietly. "You were tired. Upset. Scared. But that doesn't give you the right to push people away."
His voice was gentle-but sharp.
It wasn't loud.
But it cut deeper than any shout.

And then he whined.
Just a small, pathetic sound in the back of his throat. Like a wounded animal too proud to cry.
Kim froze.Then smiled.
“You little brat,” he whispered fondly.
“I’m not,” Kenta snapped. “I didn’t say anything.”
“Sure,” Kim said, already reaching for a wrap. “Open your mouth.”
