His hair had lost a lot of its volume around his mid-thirties, and hairstyles that highlighted the thinning was something he avoided like the plague, even if he did “look handsome” to some.

Toolshed hears the crunch of his rib cage before he feels it. There is an awful sound of his bones breaking followed by a hot pain that sears his innards. He falls on his back and his safety goggles clatter onto the cement floor mid-fall. His companions call out his name, but he is unable to respond, his vision blurring when the back of his head connects with the road.
