This Rio is a gardener, she deduces. Or is in the landscaping business, she’s not sure which.
Rio catches her eye and waves. Agatha waves back, smiling. She watches as Rio gets up and brushes the dirt from her hands onto her jeans, and she rolls her eyes fondly. She’s always so messy, no matter the timeline.
Rio jogs over to her and simply waits for Agatha to acknowledge her, bouncing slightly on the balls of her feet.
Agatha takes a good look at her, at the film of dirt covering her clothes, the smile lines around her mouth, the crow’s feet fanning out from her eyes. She’s beautiful.
Or: Agatha and Rio in every universe, finding their way back to each other.

“But I want you to stop pursuing me. I want you to stop making my life hell. And when I die, a long, long, long, long, long time from now, I don't wanna see your face.”
She moves a half step back, reeling. The heart she crafted for her is nothing but fine dust.
There's something on Agatha's face that she can't quite read. Regret, maybe? Shock at having said the words aloud?
There's no way in hell she means it. She can't be serious.
But when Rio looks into her eyes, steely resolve is at the center, swirling amongst the grief.
She supposes that it’s incredibly human to despise Death. And Rio doesn't blame her, not really.
Rio nods in spurts, a quick one, two. Her ears ring.
“Okay.”
