That night, Ash's dreams quickly turn to nightmares.
He dreams of hands on him, of jobs twisting into other jobs, and of his first time. Of wanting so badly to scream, and cry, and beg for it to end—but never quite finding his voice.
He wakes up crying, thankful that Eiji doesn't sleep in the same room, or even the same country as him right now. There's so much wrong with him ...
As he lies there, in a pool of his own disgusting sweat and still with visions of the past in his mind, it occurs to him that he doesn't need the job he was just hired for. Yes, he does need a job, but there's no reason it has to be this one. One where he's going to get fired before long anyway, where he's expected to behave like a normal fucking person. This type of shit isn't what he's built for.
So why can't he just do what he is built for?
While living with Max and Jess, Ash uses one job as a cover for another—one that he's far more used to.
