Summary
This is another Book 5 story exploring the korrasami relationship. It’s been done before, often very well, and yet the world simply cannot contain too much korrasami fluff. This one centers around themes of trust, division, and tethers.
Canon compliant up to the end of season 4, and includes some elements of Turf Wars and Ruins of the Empire, but mostly this is a full rewrite of the comics.

Summary
Korra and Asami have been best friends for years, but their attraction to each other has not gone unnoticed. They dance around the other, not tempting fate by pushing past the grey area of being gal pals and into the complicated reality of their feelings. On a normal-seeming game night with Team Avatar, Korra and Asami decide to take a little night swim once everyone settles into bed. And what they discover will change the course of their friendship forever.

Asami's a big city girl, the CEO of Future Industries who doesn't understand why her father is trying to get her back to her small hometown for Christmas when he knows she's busy and doesn't particularly like the holidays. But after getting on the wrong plane and stranding herself there, Asami realizes the holidays may not be so bad—especially when there's a cute girl named Korra that keeps popping up.

Summary
Asami lets out a deep breath when she realizes what’s missing. If she was being honest with herself, she always knew what was missing and was just trying to compartmentalize it to enjoy their getaway. But now that the thoughts have invaded the forefront of her mind, she can’t continue to hold back.
Asami gives Korra a tight smile, releases her hand, and turns away before Korra can see how much she’s hurting.
Her parents were supposed to be here when she fell in love.

Asami-centric fic where she doesn’t kiss Korra at the end of their Spirit World vacation because she’s too overwhelmed with past traumas and grief after Hiroshi’s death.
