If you had asked him, he would have listed Yuri Lowell near the bottom of the list, along with James Kirk and Moses. And yet, there he is: standing there like he owns the place, red uniform with two pips on the collar, his hair (long, so much longer than the last time Flynn saw him), in a neat ponytail.

It had started as a way to get Flynn to think about himself, for once. Or maybe to get him to take a break, or maybe as a fun challenge because Flynn can’t resist those. Yuri can’t actually remember when the idea had come, or really even what made Flynn agree to it.
He hadn’t really expected it to land him at one of the nicest restaurants in the city, in a little private room, lit low, with champagne on the table that hadn’t had a price and Flynn on his knees under it.

The music shifts, dragging out slow and steady; someone starts crooning a song about stars and touching, and Flynn hears only the rush of blood in his ears and the matching breath from the man wrapped around him. He wants so strongly that he aches with it; every nerve under every inch of skin is alive and singing. Mako is taking forever to pick up. Maybe he got caught up at work? Wu saw a few headlines about the ongoing chaos in Republic City, and he’s been keeping up with the briefings, of course, and Mako has that persistent sense of duty—
“This is Mako,” a familiar voice finally crackles to life in Wu’s ear, professional and serious as always.
Wu let’s out a sigh of relief and immediately says, “I love you,” without really thinking about it because it’s been a month and a half and he hasn’t been able to tell Mako that.
Or: Wu is back in the Earth Kingdom after the war on Republic City, and the only thing he wants to do is see his boyfriend.

Even though David has volunteered to spearhead the wedding planning and should be good at it, he has been utterly paralyzed when it's come to making any decisions. And now he has to spend the weekend with Patrick's parents visiting some tourist trap and he is not okay.
