“Before we go into this,” Celchu starts, each word cut-glass precise. “Do you have a problem with me?”
Wedge takes a drink of his caf, raising his eyebrows. That’s－ admittedly more direct than he was expecting. “Why would I have a problem with you?”
“Because I was an Imp?” Celchu says it off-hand, like it’s obvious, but his blue eyes are watching Wedge like a shriek-hawk.
Still, Wedge can’t stop the snort the escapes him. “You and every other person here. Including Hobbie and Han. You’re not special.”
If anything the man’s gaze only sharpens. “So it’s personal.”
“Look, buddy,” Wedge says, mirroring Celchu’s posture, arms folded across his chest. It’s a little trickier to manage without spilling his caf, but he thinks he does okay. “I don’t even know you. I don’t want to know you. You do your job, I’ll do mine. We don’t have to be friends.”
