Everyone is staring at Kazuichi.
That by itself is not new. His appearance is catered to be stared at- bright neon and sharp edges in all the right places to be a walking traffic cone. But these aren't judging, astounded-old-people stares. These are confused, concerned-friend stares.
"You guys don't know what I mean?" Kazuichi scratches the back of his neck, smiling in embarrassment. "It's just, like- sometimes you touch stuff and the textures are all wrong, y'know?" He is explaining to his friends why he can't touch the clay pots they're working on moving to a different classroom.
