He doesn’t want to be removed from this moment. It’s easy to capture pictures, to press the button and have it stored forever. A frozen snippet of their lives. Now there’s no camera in reach, so instead he lets his eyes fall closed, trying to memorise this.
The soft fingers threading through his hair.
The whirr of the fan lazily turning its rounds.
A gentle puff of breath against the crown of his head, the towel slipping backwards in place of something softer.
Then he’s pulled back, and the warmth is drawn away.
