“You know, the new year is the perfect moment for new things to happen,” Changbin cuts him off in fake nonchalance. “New challenges, new dreams, new beginnings, new relationships,” he ends with a pointed look as he hands over a glass.
“Why are you telling me this?” Minho frowns, genuinely confused and frankly, a little annoyed.
“Oh my god! Are you planning to confess to Hyunjin?” He finally spills.
Minho knows him by heart. He should’ve known that this was where the conversation was heading.
“Listen. Telling you about my feelings was already hard enough. You know this. Why the hell would you want me to tell him?! Wishing for things you can’t have is embarrassing,” he tells Changbin, jaw clenched.

Summary
Hyunjin smiles. He is all soft cheeks and scrunched nose, beaming in the afternoon sun basking in the garage. Minho wants to reach out. Hold the other’s face and smile as brightly as him. Maybe even press their foreheads together.
“Look who brought ice cream!” Chan’s voice suddenly exclaims.
Minho’s attention is ripped away from Hyunjin. He wipes the drops of sweat tickling his neck and shakes away the silly image of his forehead pressed against his friend’s.
The heat is most likely starting to get to my head, he reasons.

“Come on,” Minho outstretches his hand to help Hyunjin up, “Let’s go.”
Under the yellow lights coming from the nearby lampposts, Minho still looks stunning. His hair is held back by his backward cap and the bitter cold paints a blush on his cheeks and the tip of his nose. He’s smiling, the one that doesn’t let his teeth show but makes his aegyo sal pop out.
Hyunjin thinks he would take a trip anywhere in the galaxy if the man in front of him wanted to, even if he was bound to be left behind.
