There was no point in lying to Charles, he should know that by now, but it was a better option than getting him sick as well. Pierre would never hurt Charles, not on purpose. “Yeah, it‘s nothing. Don’t worry about it, Calamar.”
He tried to escape his friend’s grasp and move past him towards the hotel in a hurry, knowing that he’d give away his current state if he stayed even a minute longer. His rapid movements however, were a bad idea. Black dots appeared in his vision, and without Charles’ hands steadying him just a second later he would have fainted right there.
“Let’s get you up to your hotel room, alright?”
Or: Pierre wakes up the day after the Monaco 2022 GP feeling ill, Charles notices after a conference and jumps into action to care for him.

“Hey, Gas?” Ben’s soothing British accent pulls Pierre from his thoughts
“When you’re done, or if you are done, why don't you go upstairs, maybe run a bath? You can pop on that movie you wanted to watch.”
He knows Ben is right. Pierre needs a bath and the movie he's been dying to watch on his iPad that has been queued up for days. It would settle his mind, ease his sore muscles, and aid him in a good night’s sleep. He’s already prepared himself mentally for the sleepless night looming before him, but Ben is right. It will do him good.
