Summary
For most people, superheroes were beacons of hope and protectors of their communities. For Cion, there was no such thing as true heroism. Past experiences had left him disillusioned with this ideal, seeing the concept as nothing but a ploy to boost one's image and fish for compliments. Of course they would never know how much of a burden it was to be a hero, to be put on a fragile pedestal that would crumble under their feet with just one wrong move.
Perhaps a conversation with his plucky best friend, and maybe a traumatic event or two, would be enough to challenge that mindset.
