Shen Yuan takes his kids on a field trip. He prepares carefully, even going so far as to give every pair of disciples a bottle of pepper spray, for protection (Luo Binghe gets his own, because look at the boy! He's liable to get kidnapped with that sweet disposition of his).
He's excited to prove himself, to prove Cang Qiong to those Huan Hua assholes, hell, he's especially excited to try out his new magic metal rope thingy on some bloodthirsty demons! Of course, it doesn’t go as planned. Nothing ever does!

This is my favorite characterization of Hufflepuffs tbh, great side characters. Super satisfying ending with the relationship, I was wondering how it would play out and it HIT. Tissues warning
