    At Fire Station 127, Mark is calm under pressure. Donghyuck is not.

    They’re not dating. They just live in each other’s back pockets, finish each other’s sentences, and accidentally start co-parenting a kid they pulled out of a burning building.

     

    “You can’t just bring a kid home,” Mark says.
    “She didn’t have a home,” Donghyuck shrugs.

     

    One minute they’re partners. The next, they’re burning garlic bread, sharing a toothbrush, and trying not to talk about why it all feels like something more.

    It’s fine. Everything’s fine.
