It's too late. Soobin can't turn away now, not when Choi Yeonjun's down on one knee. His fingers shake as they search his jacket pockets for something. It's a hot summer day and despite the dampness in the air Soobin feels a cold chill rake up his spine. Is it fear? Anxiety? Anticipation? The sandwich he ate for lunch earlier? He doesn't know.
The world seems to be moving slowly as Yeonjun's hand finally stills inside his pocket. Soobin swallows around the lump in his throat as Yeonjun puts the little velvet ring box forward.

soobin purses his lips in thought. he wants this man more than anything, doesn’t want to let him go. but, more than that, he wants him to be genuinely happy, “does he make you happy?” he clarifies.
yeonjun’s eyes widen in surprise at the unexpected question, “yeah, i…” the microwave beeps, signaling that it’s done, but he doesn’t turn towards it. instead, he smiles, even if a bit unsure, and says, “i think he actually could.” he silently confesses.
