Summary

Something deep inside Astarion urged him to jump to his master’s defence, to punish Shadowheart for what she was saying. Something deeper crawled at the thought of himself plunging Cazador’s own blade into his chest again and again, then breaking down before everyone—his friends, his siblings, his maker’s corpse. At the core of it all was this:
“I miss him.”
Shadowheart recoiled. Fury blazed through her ugly grimace. “Never say that,” she hissed. “Never even think that. Cazador is dead.”After Cazador's death, Astarion doesn't understand why he's drawn back to that point in his life. Shadowheart wants to help him overcome what he's faced.
