    Aizawa's thrumming fingers froze, any aggravation in his tone making way for hardened disbelief. “That’s impossible. I have the message. It’s from the same automated number as usual. There were no other pros on the scene. …what are you implying?”

    “Nothing! I’m not implying you would do anything unprofessional, Eraserhead, I assure you! It’s just that I’m looking through our messages now and no one at our agency reached out to you last night. If you do have a message, it…it wasn’t from us.”

    Aizawa brought up a hand to rub at his brow. That made absolutely no sense at all.

    “Who would bother doing something like that?”

    After being told he couldn't be a hero without a quirk, Izuku joins the support course at UA High. He's determined to learn everything he can. To take matters into his own hands.

    Because in the end, isn't that what makes someone a hero?

    Sighing, Aizawa said again, a little more forcefully, “’M phon.”

    “Uh—okay.” Izuku decided it was better not to argue. He reached out a hand and unclasped a pocket on his teacher’s side, then reached in and plucked out an ancient looking touch-screen phone. Tucking it close to his chest, Izuku looked down at his teacher with creased brows. “I have it, M—Eraserhead. Sorry. Did you want me to call someone?”

    Flinching slightly as he tried to tilt his head and look at Izuku, Aizawa stopped mid-movement and slurred out, “’zashi.”

    With unconventional methods, a few broken bones and self-sacrificing attitude, the vigilante dubbed Carbon Cat attempts to balance crime fighting, evading arrest, living alone, and high school. He can't tell which one is the most difficult.

    OR: in which Izuku never receives One For All, becomes a vigilante and tries to keep everyone at an arms length. Doesn't mean they'll let him, though.
