Summary
Rooster's squadron, the Golden Warriors, are stopped over in Coronado with the Black Aces for a few weeks while their ship is being worked on. Their respective CO's decide a little competition can't hurt and it doesn't, mostly.
Rooster isn't about to go easy on his best friends and neither Phoenix nor Bob are going to give up so easily. All if fair in the name of friendly competition until they all realize Phoenix is sick after they're back on the ground and her pride hasn't gotten the hint that she's off the hook for the night. -

Summary
When Bob and Phoenix are called back to the states and told to join the soon-to-be-formed Dagger Squadron, they hit the ground running. After the past 4 months of deployment, a sketchy landing on the carrier before being shipped back to the states, and having to pack up and leave--driving 24 hours in two days isn't the greatest of ideas but they do it anyways. They meet up with part of the squad along the way making Maverick, Rooster, and Fanboy helpless witnesses to the fall out on a foggy night and a deer literally in their headlights.

Its winter in Sweden but that doesn't stop Team Red from pursuing VILE, though unfortunately it doesn't stop ACME either. In a few minutes everything that could go wrong begins to go wrong. Carmen crash lands, Ivy is kidnapped, and Zack is the only one who can save them. With no communication to their friends, Team Red has to work solo to find their way back together and stop VILE from selling stolen launch codes, no one said it would be easy.

Going undercover means giving up your identity. It’s been two months of playing someone else, and the return is a bit disorienting. It helps to have John and Sarah there, grounding him; his beautiful goddaughter playing peekaboo with him; Paddy lying on his feet, hoping for treats. He doesn’t have to go straight back to being DI Jones. He can just be Ben for a while.
