There are things that always happen, no matter how hard he tries: El doesn’t arrive in time. Eddie dies. Max is put in a coma.
Steve fails. They lose.
“Steve, how many loops have you been through?”
His head is nodding, and his eyes are watery, and Eddie has approached him like a spooked animal.
“I lost count.”
AKA: The one where Steve Harrington is stuck in a time loop, and Eddie Munson is really fucking hard to save, or: fuck Volume 2, these bitches are in love.

Unlike any other day however, he makes an error in judgment that results in him dying a horrible death.
The next morning, he wakes up to find that none of that has happened, and he’s reliving the very same day all over again.

There's a pit in his stomach as soon as he opens his eyes, because the alarm is on again, the same radio station, the same song. The sunlight streaming into the room is buttery-soft, brand new because it's early. The alarm is ringing so they can take Chris to school. And—
He reaches out for the bedside table on his side of the bed they share, clumsily unplugs his phone one-handed. The screen lights up to a familiar wallpaper, and it's right there, just above the top of Buck's head: Wednesday.

Buck heard the gunshot ring out and not even a second later he felt Eddie’s blood soak the front of his body. Tasting the coppery metallic blood enter his mouth, getting stuck in heavy droplets to his lips. Eddie locked eyes with Buck, so filled with confusion and fear. Buck stood frozen staring back at Eddie, his body refusing to move when his brain was screaming at it to do something, anything.
