Siphons were not to be trusted; they were thieves, unnatural and unwanted in the witch community. That's what Serena Romano had been reminded of her entire life.
Her parents, part of the once mighty Eclissi coven, were of that same belief so when their eldest daughter - legacy of everything they had built - suddenly had a warm, red glow encompassing her palms at the slightest physical contact with anything or anyone magical, they were beyond distraught.
