Tyler meets him at the music store. He slams a record down on the counter, stabbing its side into the wood. He points at it.
"Would you like this?" Tyler asks. He points again, and leans on the edge of the record. It bends and bends until it snaps clean in two.

Summary
Arthur knows he's dying, can feel the unstoppable pull of it, feels the spirit appear behind him to take him along. And yet, he finds he does not want to die. There is so much that went wrong, so much he regrets and he wishes, with all his being, he could change it. Could at least ensure those that managed to get away really make it out alive.
A second chance, he asks, begs, really. Just give me the chance to save them.
The being behind him pauses and Arthur can't look away from the moment he's frozen in, staring at the dark mountainside, aching to see the sun rise just one more time.
One chance, the spirit seems to whisper, voice satin soft. Make the most of it.

Aloy wakes in the cabin two days before the Proving with all of her gear, all of her skills, and all of her memories of the last year in tact. She has time to fix everything. She has a second go-around to make everything right, make it perfect, heal the world. This time it will go right. This time she'll stay ahead of HADES and the Eclipse.
This time everyone will survive.

She was able to get a proper look at his face now. He was tall, maybe about a head taller than her. With red windswept hair that blazed a polished copper in the sun, much like her own. He had a similar copper stubble across his face as well. His green eyes looked tired but were scanning her every move, ready to react. He was anticipating a fight. She was too.
“Look, I don’t want any trouble.” The stranger said slowly.
“Be nice Aloy,” Sylens warned. Aloy noticed how the stranger's eyes darted to her focus for a split second and then to her bow.
“So you say,” Aloy spoke, keeping her voice steady and her drawstring pulled taunt. “The last time we had unwanted visitors on this planet, they caused a lot more than trouble.”
“Unfortunately, I believe you there. But I promise, I just want to fix my ship and go.”

When another unknown spaceship came crashing down on Earth, Aloy expected the worst. She didn't expect to meet a new potential ally with his own slew of galactic problems or to discover the world was much vaster than she ever thought.
