“What is it?” Kageyama says it softly, his palm now pressed against Hinata’s face, his thumb brushing the tip of his chin.
“I’m tired,” Hinata says. “I feel it everywhere. I ache everywhere.”
He pauses into the quiet and when his eyes flicker open, he looks as uncertain as he had the day Kageyama had first met him, a whole lifetime ago—like a scared kid, unsure of his place in all of this.
He presses into Kageyama’s touch and then shifts closer, tucking his head against Kageyama’s chest.
“Yamayama,” Hinata says, taking a breath. “What if I retired?”

“Aren’t you tired of being nice?” Shidou asks, whispering in his ear like he’s some damn demon on his shoulder. “Don’t you just wanna go apeshit?”
Rin’s blood is boiling. He’s delusional from the rush. His head got slammed a little too hard on the field yesterday and Shidou’s kick to the fucking face knocked his common sense loose. It’s the only plausible explanation for why he’s actually listening to this insect’s ideas.
“What do you propose I do?” he grinds out, like each word physically pains him.
“Never thought you’d ask, Rin-Rin!” Shidou’s grinning. That’s sign #1 that he’s royally fucked. “Do you know where he lives?”

Post-U20 match; Everyone is peacefully enjoying their time before the 2 week vacation begins, but not Itoshi Rin; After facing off with his older brother once again, Rin obsessively trains to better himself, still unable to properly reconcile with Sae after everything that's happened. However, an unexpected, and seemingly fantastical incident leaves the Blue Lock players confused, Ego annoyed, and Sae and Rin in a crazy situation that forces them to finally address their broken brotherly bond. But to do that may not be as easy as they may have hoped...
TLDR; Blue Lockers are stuck with a 4 year old Rin and Sae forced to babysit

The match versus Japan’s under-twenty was now nothing more than bittersweet history. Now on a mandated two-week break, Rin finds himself in a strange period, not unlike an intermission. Already out of sorts, Rin must grapple with setbacks arising before his progress can truly begin. Outside of soccer, Rin now existed in a vulnerable state like a raw wound. What could Rin do when those in his immediate family started acting so strangely? What was he to do when a rare moment of joy backfired so spectacularly? Things were truly starting to progress for Rin, if an unpredictable spiralling could be labelled as such…
After all, HE was home.
(Or: the author got a glimpse of the Itoshi parents and decided to go all-out with theorising on family dynamics. More of a character and relationship study with a side of plot. Enjoy!)

Summary
“Rin,” a familiar voice called, commanding his attention. Like a moth to a flame, Rin’s mind went blank as his body moved of its own accord, eyes locked onto the one person he had been trying desperately not to think about. Itoshi Sae towered above him, the harsh glare of the stadium lights painting him in an otherworldly glow. Rin’s senses zeroed in on the older and with all other distractions fading away it was like he was looking at the centre of the universe.
A fic in which "the talk" goes down differently post U-20 match.
(Or, the author is Totally Normal about the Itoshi siblings and needs others to appreciate them)
